February 8-12

Writing
This week as writers we will be reviewing the components of complete sentences, identifying different parts of a sentence, and practicing editing and rewriting fragments. We will be evaluating our own writing and writing of our peers and revising and editing to ensure our sentences are complete.

Reading
This week in reading we will continue making inferences and draw conclusions about how an author's write clues to help readers infer what is happening.   We’ll use our prior knowledge to make inferences with both fiction and nonfiction text.

Math
We are finishing up our review of time this week. Kids will continue to practice reading clocks and saying the time using our special time language. Kids will take an assessment at the end of the week to check for understanding.

Help your child at home: change your cell phone to an analog clock and have your child read the time to you. Make a schedule of your weekend. Think about the times that you do things and think of another way to say that time.

iXL: Q.1-Q.8- great activities for reading clocks and practicing time language
