We will work on Veggie Tales this week! That means we will choose a vegetable and give it human-like characteristics and a problem to solve. On Monday your child will bring home a plan and ask you to help them provide their supplies, including a real vegetable!
Reading:
Our end of year reading assessments are over and I'm proud of everyone's reading! This week we get to focus on reader's theater which is always a hit! We will use plays such as A Wild Day and Frog and Toad to study theater. We will continue to review reading skills learned this year with our "Reading A-Z" booklets.
Spelling:
Your child will receive their words to practice at home on Monday and we will check for understanding on Friday.
Math:
We will revisit comparing fractions, equivalent fractions, and rounding numbers this week. We'll also spend some time with a few "Springy Stations" to review other math skills we've learned this year. Math homework will come home on Tuesday and should be returned on Wednesday as usual.
